About This Treasure

We found this Horseshoe Crab during mating season in June 2023 on the coast of Maine. This is a slightly smaller version than the original creature. We had this piece designed with 3D computer assistance. The Horseshoe Crab is one of nature’s most amazing creatures. Fossil records of horse shoe crabs extend back over 440 million years. This is the item that inspired the creation of Allegra’s Treasures.
